Hi, I'm Abdullah Mir, Candidate for Ward 1 in the amazing City of Pickering. Welcome to my dedicated community engagement platform. The idea is, I can help you stay up to date with past, present and future City of Pickering governance, and create a safe place for us to talk. I hope you'll use it to help influence my campaign, help me connect with experts, and if I'm elected, help be a better councilor. It's a bit of an experiment. This platform doesn't optimize for ads. Instead, it optimizes for improving decision making. I understand it won't be for everybody, but it illustrates how committed I am to my campaign commitment to keep you informed and consider your input. I'm going to be delegating at this upcoming meeting, in order to advocate for responsible development and expressed concern that development charge reductions would not result in lower housing prices. Let me know if you think this is the right direction, or if I should consider new information?
